From Point A to Point Blank

I love math. As a child who loves to solve problems adults would always praise you. I like to untangle problems through solutions or how I can understand numbers. It paved way to networks of patience from learning one thing to another like cooking, writing, and studying. As I grow from a child to an adult I would treat life like problem solving. You encounter a problem, create equation, write a solution, and then problem solved. But I never thought that one day I would be stuck to one problem, life after college. It is like Point A going to Point Blank.

The life after college feels like a clean slate to me. With whatever knowledge equipped by the university you are challenged to choose which elements you are willing to draw on your slate. You realize how vast the world is and you are one tiny child competing with veterans. You are showered with many possibilities and given a chance to start as an adult. But with all those kinds of possibilities you are also challenged to pick from all those choices. Which career path do I choose? What should be my vision in life? What do I really want to do? What is my passion? Where do I start? Or what should I do? You are trying to fit together all these variables in one equation but somehow it is not making any sense. After some time, you overthink all these questions without considering one thing. “I just need to choose something and try.”

I have been stuck to this maze for quite some time. I was always thinking far ahead when I should consider what should be done now. Time skipped to the point where we were restricted to go out of the house (COVID-19). There came my new struggle, how can I try if I can’t go out? Then one day I came across a freelancing academy (Filipino Virtual Assistance). I decided to enroll to take on the odds of the online job. It sparked a new dream to me. It reminded me of how I wanted a business of my own in the future. Though I have to admit it is not easy. I am being pushed out of my comforts and challenged to try new things. But as they say things that are not obtained easily are the ones worth more at the end. Right now I am trying to enjoy the adventure. For this start, I believe, is the end of my point blank.

This is for everyone at their point blank. It is for those people who wants to start but is somehow hindered by things either internally, externally, or maybe both. Life gives us many pathways. We all start from nothing. Be a little gentle to yourself and listen to your heart’s wishes. Let yourself grow by trying different things in life that pushes you out of comfort zones and teaches you about failure. That way we learn how important patience is and how to kick back when you think life is against you. Do not be afraid of failure dear child. The world might not give room for it but you can always create one for improvement.

Right now, I am almost at the end of my freelancing course. I have successfully put up my website, social media accounts, first blog, and many others. But as this ends, I would never forget about the way it motivated me to start again. I have more things to learn but why should I be scared to embrace more knowledge?
